"We are absolutely delighted with BUGtrack. Our design work is done in the UK with development in India. The bugs used to be controlled on a spreadsheet and, pretty much, it was who was wearing the hat had control of the spreadsheet! BUGtrack has enabled us to take control. We cannot recommend it enough."

Email Interface

BUGtrack's Email Interface allows you to create and update BUGtrack records by sending regular email, and without logging into BUGtrack. BUGtrack imports email messages from the specified mailboxes and converts them into trackable records. The system either identifies existing records by the unique number embedded into email subject or creates a new record if the subject is new.

Emails may also contain attachments. Each attachment is automatically uploaded into the system and integrated with the associated record.

Below are some instances when the Email Interface is particular useful:

  • Use the Email Interface when communicating with external team members or customers, without having to grant access to BUGtrack.
  • A customer support team can use the Email Interface to track customer-submitted requests.
  • Use Email Interface for beta-testing, similar to Custom form.
